The Abandoned Dogs

Yes! Finally met the lady,Mrs tan, who feeds the 2 dogs here and.....
saw the 2 dogs whom she feeds!

Currently this brown one has become braver and coming out during the day and the black one is missing!

She also feeds this pack of abandoned dogs! Phew! I am so glad that 3 of us who stays nearby can concentrate to try and help the homeless around this area.Hopefully we are able to find them a home too.

Farewell

Its so heartbreaking to hear this again.
Adopted Mui Mui from the shelter passed away after been returned
Haiz.... whose fault is it?
Are we going to point fingers at everyone that has touched her life?

Me who has suggested of taking her from the shelter?
Shelter was never a good place for a long haired dog. Adopter complained of being unable to handle a young pup they adopted.Mui Mui has always been less active in the shelter, so I thought that Mui Mui will not give this new dog owner any challenging task which will frightened them from giving a chance to one of the dogs from the shelter. I guess decision made was not right.

Shelter personnel who goes along with it for handling Mui Mui over without further doubting them after they returned the puppy.

The Shelter where she might have contacted the fever?

The Adopter who does not have the patience and experience in handling a sick dog?

The previous owner who abandoned her or did not care for her properly?

Herself for being adventurous and strayed off from her house?

Is it God who wants to relief her the pain on this cruel and unfriendly world for animals?
If it is so, I am very glad that it happened and only God knows, and I like to believe in that reason.

Mui Mui Rest In Peace.
I am lucky to have known you but sorry that I did not find you a good home.

The Unexpected

This poor girl was whining away at the side of the road when Wendy found her at 7am in Brickfields.
Apparently she was knocked down by a car! Haiz... why is this place so unfriendly to these poor animals
Wendy too has began to feel for the unfortunate strays she sees. She had called, crying telling April & I how helpless she was when she saw one with skin problem. My heart goes to her too. WE understand how she feels and how helpless we were too being unable to help all.
TODAY, she DID something!
She has put this whining dog in her car with the help of a young lady and a Security Guard
She felt so scared having done this, she needed somebody to support her for what she had done. Off I went to lend her a shoulder to cry on and stay with her till the vet opens its door.
She gobbled up the kibbles I gave her.
She too looks frightened in the vet.
Well, I told Wendy I have never done this before, rescuing an injured dog and bringing her to the vet, she is really very brave to have done that for a first timer.

Benny Boy

This is the first time I wrote an appeal for donation in my Facebook account. I know Joan though we only met a few times. I have seen her face on the net in Pulau Ketam dog dumping episode, met her in vets and She even came to help Aunty in the mini jungle to save some puppies from the clutch of python when I was unable to help her.
When Aunty told me what she encountered this time, I could only help her to raise some funds through Facebook. Well I told her do not expect much as tonnes and tonnes of people are doing the same thing. Joan is very understanding, she replied, The little that we do can indeed change a whole lot of things around us. This sentence touches me.

A lady in Facebook asked me whether this is a goat or a dog! Boy, he must be in such a bad shape to be asked such question.

He is sure skinny.

From Joane, the rescuer who was called by the school bus driver:

The dog was trying to cross the road in Ampang Indah when a taxi banged on him according to the school bus driver who witnessed it. The dog was rushed to the nearest vet. As he was very weak, he was put on drip immediately. According to the vet, the dog, whom I have named Benny Boy, was about 6 years of age and seemed to have an owner as it was clean and neatly groomed. The only thing about Benny was that he was rather thin.

An X-Ray on the left hind leg was taken 2 days later and it was shown that he had a fracture that was affecting its bowel. As it was a complicated surgery, he was transferred to Dr.Yeoh in Taman Megah. The surgery done by Dr.Yeoh was successful and Benny is now recuperating in a fosterer's home in Tasik Permai, Ampang.

Benny is an obedient and intelligent boy, he can be very clingy too, so those of you who want to adopt him and give it a home, please contact me ( terms and conditions apply ). I also hope to be able to raise funds for his medical bills that came up to RM2465. That will in turn enable us to help other rescued dogs and cats that are also in need of medical attention.

If you want to adopt Benny and learn more of his fracture, you can contact Dr.Yeoh or Dr.Tan at 03-78048684.

Yeoh Veterinary Clinic & Surgery. Benny is registered under my name.
If you want to visit Benny or assist financially, you can contact me at 012.2297332.

Thank you.

The little that we do can indeed change a whole lot of things around us.

Ah Wong the lonely stray

This is Ah Wong.
He is now staying outside the car workshop where Aunty feeds other dogs. He is a loner. I used to feed him too back then when I was not so involved in dog rescue. Since I know that Aunty really cared for him I have stop feeding him.

Ah Wong used to be accompanied by his mum but sadly one day his mum when missing and he was so lost since then. I guess there is no choice for him but to let time heal his loneliness without his mum.

Flashback...............

There was actually a litter of 8 . As the puppies grew bigger and unable to foster them, one by one was knocked down by passing cars and 2 went missing. I was the one who buried the one who used to be with Ah Wong when 2 of them strayed off from their mum. I remembered Ah Wong watched me from a far.
His confidence was dented when left alone. I still feed him and one fine day I managed to lured his mum who was all alone back to him. YEAH! I was so happy to see 2 of them together again. Sadly it was short lived. He is all alone again.

One of the puppies.

The missing/dead puppies with their mum back then.

Ridiculous But True

This abandoned mama will be first to be fed in the morning, so will her companion who is hiding under the car.

Next will be the pack of dogs who has been shooed to this abandoned school after their home was geared for building huge expensive bungalows.

This is the most ridiculous place to feed. The car workshop's watch dogs!
This Aunty has no choice as she saw that the dogs are not well fed and has resort to straying on the road to look for food! She too took this opportunity to ask them to keep 2 stray dogs she found around the area. Its a Win-win situation .

This poor Rottie is chained 24/7 till the choker chain has eat to her neck. Guess who took her to see the vet? Yes, off course not the owner. Aunty even has to foot the medical bill! When she asked for reimbursement for medical cost, she was asked to take her 2 dogs away!
!

Its just because Aunty pities a limping dog here, she ended up feeding 2 others around. I would say that the 3 dogs here are well fed and the manager took the trouble to spay the 2 female dogs.

The pack of dogs who will not come out and only she knows they are there. She has managed to dognapped 2 females and I have managed to rehome one of them for her.Her rationale of feeding them is, so that they will not come out to look for food and humans will not attack them.

She will throw the food inside the small jungle.

Ah Ha! This is Mama Hopeful. She is very beautiful. If I were to post her as Labrador Retriever in Petfinder.my, my mobile will be jammed with callers. She still needs time before she can be rehomed. Looks like she has given birth.
Good girl, she can be touched and obviously can be taken off the streets( the highway, more like it)

See one hiding behind the bush?

They are staying under this flyover.
Aunty has this fear that they will dash across the road looking for food if she does not feed them.

Who will Surfer?

Squatters houses been torn down. Is it a good or not good sight?

Good that new buildings will be built.

Not good when all these poor voiceless pets are abandoned, and left roaming aimlessly around the residential area nearby.

Those who are not streetwise will be found dead on the divider of the busy road :((

My Rescued Dogs

Elly

Ozzzie
Back then.....

When I first rescued them. I knew that they will be strays or may not live just like their other siblings if I do not take them out from the bushes 2 1/2 years ago.
The pack of dogs were eventually poisoned and only 2 survived, living as strays now.I could have saved their sister too but already having 3 rescued puppies in the house was a bit too much for me then.

Crossed Path

See the resemblance?
They could easily pass off as sisters.
The one above is Cheeky renamed Elly adopted by Joey 2 1/2years ago.
The one below is Pixie who is still waiting to go home.
Coincidently, Joey is looking for a companion for Elly and she spotted Pixie from Petfinder.my.
Elly was my 3rd rescued puppy who survived!
I have not met Joey before as adoption of Elly was helped by another rescuer
BUT
Joey's,Elly's and my path crossed again.

I truly hope that Joey will adopt Pixie.

Bindi's and Middie's Updates

Mummy with the pack of food and does not know where to enjoy it as there are 2 male dogs around who will always steal her food if she puts it on the ground.

Bindi will eat the food I brought but will not finish all. She will then carry the balance of the pack of food for her son who is inside the car workshop

Look at mummy sharing the pack of food with Middie.
The 2 naughty boys
Bindi and Middie having some quality time.

A Kind Samaritan

I am not the only one who is feeding the homeless.
This kind Samaritan has been placing food for 2 abandoned dogs hiding behind the ravine daily . There used to be 3 bowls of kibbles and new bowl of fresh water nightly.
Now there are only 2 bowls of kibbles as an elderly Aunty who also feeds them had dognapped one of them!
Kudos to her!

The Last Pup

Little Middie was supposed to be adopted by a man from Seremban. He was really into him but I was quite half hearted in letting him adopt Little Middie.
Middie has a good temperament and adopter has indicated that he has no intention of neutering him and said that he will not let him roam out of his house.
If I let him adopt I know its a chance I will have to take for his words
I decided to trust him
BUT....
the guy at the workshop said that he wanted to keep him!
He claimed that he has formed a bond with Little Middie.

Oh Dear, can I trust him?

He assured me that he will neuter him when time is right and will take all precautions to prevent him from roaming outside the workshop like the 2 other big dogs around.

Its a tough decision.
After weighing both pros and cons, I agreed as this workshop guy is willing to abide by my requirements and his mummy, Bindi and I still get to see Little Middie around.

He is really a very lovable pup.
